Weekly Wrap Up

My friend Tania who is a blogger had a Weekly Wrap Up on her blogsite and post, and so I thought I might use it here to do a quick catch up.

Sunday - Riley not feeling well, so we stayed home and didn't go to church. He seems to be doing better now but I am unsure about him going to school tomorrow. I would like him to stay home one more day.

Saturday - I was glad to see the boys after not seeing them for a day or so. Riley couldn't go to his baseball game because of his illness. But he was doing better it seemed, so we went on a little drive (not getting out of the car). Normally we would have gone to see the tulips up north that come out in the fields in the spring. But this spring is unusual because we have been ill, the weather has been too cold, and Dave has been gone a lot. The photo is from last year.

Friday - Happy it is Friday and May. I was honored today with a "U Rock" award from the Student Service division. I know that Bill put my name in the hat for it, and that means a lot. Riley is home today with a cold or flu. He ran a fever last night of 101 to 102 degrees. Kari stayed home with him. I may have to stay home with him Monday if he isn't better... but I will wait and see.

Thursday - Riley maybe ill and there may be Swine Flu cases here in Western Washington. Both Kari and I are concerned. But Kari felt he wasn't really sick enough to stay home, so she took him to school. However, when I picked him up, he wasn't well. I took him home and took care of him. He will not be going to school tomorrow. I spent the night praying for him and caring for him. I called the consulting nurse which put my fears to rest.

Wednesday - Bible Study night. I thought we are to read one chapter but it was two. It turned out ok though.

Tuesday - I worked late tonight. This morning was able to get the paperwork to the teacher regarding Riley. Took my car in to get it fixed at the college. Swine Flu is becoming a new scare.

Monday - Back to work but not much to write about. Wished the weekend had been longer.

Here's to a wonderful and blessed week ahead!
