I had a rather strange week. I should have got my 8 Ball out to see whether or not I should have got out of bed. But instead, I trusted God and He brought be through a very odd week. I guess this Post will be a review of the week:
Monday: Not especially a good day. There was a meeting at work that really didn't go well. And Dave left for North Carolina.
We went to Riley's teacher conference tonight. He is doing OK. We have some work to do, but he is young too!
Did I tell you that yesterday Riley lost his first tooth. It had be wiggling for weeks. Finally he let me pull it. It didn't take much. So this morning, he found a note and money under his pillow. The note said something like "Dear Riley, Congrats on losing your first tooth! I have your name on the boy's and girl's list of kids losing teeth. See you soon... Love, the Tooth Fairy" You know, she has great PR.
Tuesday: I worked late... but I was getting a cold yesterday and now it is really bad. At lunch, I came out of Safeway (grocery store) to find my tire was flat. REALLY flat. I was sick... and standing there in the rain under an umbrella, trying to figure what to do next.
I ended up putting air in my tire from the Safeway gasoline station... drove back to the Automotive Dept. at the college, where they fixed my tire for free.
Wednesday: It is Kari's birthday and she isn't having a very good day. I won't go into details... except to say "Men!". And I am too sick to care. I go to the Ladies Night Out at the church, and get the kids home to bed in a timely fashion... at least that was a bit of fun in a weird week.
Thursday: On my way to work... driving into the college in traffic. I stop for the car ahead, but the car behind me doesn't stop. Yep, it drives into me.
But, when I look to see the damage, there isn't a mark or a dent. And it isn't one on her car either. Praise the Lord!
Friday: A long day because I still feel sick with this cold, and the best thing is that it is Friday. I am getting reports from Dave that he doesn't understand why they had him go to North Carolina. :-P
