Yesterday

Renee and I on the Halloween Train a few weeks ago. Not the most flattering photo of me. I am trying to make sure we are in the photo... but we have lots of fun together.

Yesterday Renee and I met out in Black Diamond (almost wanted to say Diamond Hills or Diamond Bar... all in Cali), at our favorite bakery for coffee. She brought Christian and I brought Riley. We stopped at Flaming Geyser Park near there, and we showed the boys the small little flame which you can see above. They are too young to understand or appreciate the meaning. So we hiked a little on the trail. It was wet and slippery from the leaves on the ground, so we headed for Enumclaw.

In Enumclaw we went to our favorite little store This n That. We hadn't been there together it seems forever. When we were in Outreach together, we would go there before or after a fair or event. But now we have to plan it ourselves.

I got the idea for making some felt ornaments there, and so after we were back in Kent, I stopped at JoAnn's and bought some felt. The one I am showing here is a free pattern from the internet. You can find the instructions HERE.

I haven't been feeling too well today. I had the stomach cramps off and on all week, and I have had a sore throat. I am not sleeping well either. Anyway... I stayed home today. With the flu that is going around, they want us to take precautions at work. I think no matter what, I will go to work tomorrow though.

Dave will be home tonight at about midnight from Ohio. He may have to go out again next week to North Carolina. :-(
