Wednesday? - Happy Birthday Susie!

Well, this week is going by fast! Guess I am trying to make up for last week when I was down with the cough and pink eye. I am pacing myself, and so I haven't posted.

Last week was very cold here. It was in the low 30's in the day, and lower at night. There was a little ice etc. Then last weekend we had snow falling but it didn't stick... and that kind of snow is the kind I like. It is pretty but goes away.

Monday night we had a MOPS meeting at the church. MOPS stands for Mothers Of Preschoolers. Kari qualifies because of Brady. I qualify because I am a "mentor mom". I was asked to mentor some of the young moms. This was Kari's first meeting she has attended, and I think she liked it. I think that women should help each other out.

Tuesday was a different day. I would usually go in late but Tuesday I went in later due to the fact that I got the boys their swine flu shots. Riley is very brave. He steps up without a problem and says "I'll be first because I am the oldest." He gets the shot and announces to Brady that "it didn't hurt". Brady on the other hand is fearful. Regardless of Riley's bravery, he begins to fight it and say "I want my mommy!" But as soon as it is done, he is claiming that "it didn't hurt" too!

Before the shots, I took them to Walmart which is across the street from their doctor's office. And I was trying to get some items checked off my Christmas list... but only got a few. The boys also needed vitamins, fish oil (good for ADHD), and shoes. They were able to get some shoes that they both liked. $103 later, I was out of there. I will have to return, but not with the boys next time.

I came home last night after getting my hair trimmed and went to bed. I slept all the way through the night... a testimony of how tired I was. And today is another day... and we are half way through the week too!

Today is my friend Susie's birthday. I really miss Susie. It has been a year and a half since she moved to North Carolina. I will make sure that I call her this week. Have a good Wednesday!
