I haven't posted because nothing really interesting to write about happened Tuesday and Wednesday. All I did was go to work. I was recovering from all I did on Monday.
Yesterday we finished work at noon and I met Renee for lunch. She brought her little daughter "Missy" with her. It was fun. I am always glad to see Renee. She is like a fresh breeze.
I got the boys early and we went home before dark. I cooked all these "finger foods" for our little family party. Also Riley insisted that it wasn't a party without cupcakes, so I made some. The boys watched Netflix, The Pokeman Movie. Kari came over for a while too before going out with her friend.
By the way, after hurting a few days with something that was probably was whip flash, Kari is now doing well. She had a little bit of a black eye. She sure did get beat up. I am grateful it wasn't worse.
Riley and I watched "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang". I knew all the songs and sang them with the movie. Riley was impressed which was fun. I explained I saw the movie when I was a kid too.
Brady and Riley fell asleep before midnight. We were able to get Brady up to see the new year in, but not Riley. He was SO asleep. All three of us tried and then gave up.
When 2010 came we when outside regardless of the rain. We walked across the street to talk with our neighbors. One of them was setting off fireworks into the air. Across the sky, in the same places on the 4th of July, were other fireworks going off. It was sort of a mini 4th.
This morning we watched a little of the Rose Parade. Being from So California, it is traditional for me. A Must See for me. Later we went on a drive to Snoqualmie Ridge. It was dry at first but turned really soggy.
I made pot roast in the crock pot again today. We had a cupcake for dessert. ;-) The boys are asleep early, so is Dave, but I just finished the movie "Julie and Julia". It is about a woman who blogs for a year while she cooks all of Julia Child's recipes in her Mastering the Art of Cooking book. It is a true story too. I suggest you see it even if you don't cook or blog.
Happy New Year Everyone! May this year be the best ever yet!
