Happy October!

Can you believe it is October? It was just my birthday (August 29th). I picked this "October" because it looked as if "the joke is on me" because it is October. It is about 11:30 pm when I am writing this post for tomorrow... and I really should have been in bed an hour ago. I am not following my own rules set down by me. Riley is asleep, and so is Dave. Aaron is up washing his clothes because he hadn't got to it during the weekend and he is running out (something I would have done at his age).

This week hasn't been as tough as last week. I am trying to take it slow and at a pace. It isn't an easy job sometimes, but I try to keep it all balanced. I happened to be skilled at it a little after all these years. I think of David (my brother) who is caring for his little son by himself and wonder how he's doing? He now has a reason bigger than himself to keep it together. I wish I could, by brainwaves or something, pass on to him what I have learned as a mom and over my years of being around kids. I know he is capable and can take care of Jake. He is super resourceful. I just gave him my website to this blog and I hope he uses this means and facebook to communicate daily with me. We will see.

Even though the week isn't as rough... I am ready for it to end. We have a breakfast this Saturday at the church which I am involved in. I have some things to add to the website for the Women Of Victory too. Other than the breakfast, I don't remember being scheduled for anything else... Hooray!

The weather has certainly taken a turn towards fall this week. We knew that last weekend would be one of the last weekends of sun we would have for a while maybe. The rain began on Monday, and the cooler air followed. I quickly went out to get a warmer blanket to add to the bed, when just last week we still had the fan going at night. I took a walk on campus today at near noon, and there was a chill in the air where your skin prickles a little. It is coming... Happy October!

There was definitely a chill in the air last night but it sure makes for good sleeping doesn't it?? It'w weird how last week it was in the 80's and the fans going. This week i had the heat on in my home and in the car. LOL
