Cheery Cherries

How do you like the newest background? Cherries are one of the things that my daughter uses in her kitchen to decorate with because it is so cherry... I mean cheery. It is fun and cheerful, so I chose it to use for my background for a while. I will use her inspiration.
This morning was a challenge in getting two boys to daycare early (7 am) and myself to a high school by 7:30 am. Yesterday, as you heard, it snowed as I drove there. But today, there wasn't even rain as I walked into the school.

What I am doing in the mornings this week is judging senior projects and presentations. Each senior is required to give a presentation (power point) and put together a binder portfolio to present to a few teachers and community members. I am one of the community members. They are to mention in their presentations: Introduction, tell us about who they are, what they did as a Job Shadow and why, what they did for Community Service and why, what classes they liked and their best works over the 4 years of high school, what they plan for their future as far as post secondary schooling and a career, and their conclusion. Plus we are to ask them questions. They are to present for at least 10 minutes and hopefully not more than 12 minutes.

Most have been very good. There have been a couple that will have to go back and rework their presentation and present it again. If they don't... they don't pass high school. That is what is important about these projects. I don't feel bad sending them back to rework their work. To pass them would teach them that others can work hard and they can "get by".

For lunch, we took Lindsey out to celebrate her birthday at Panera Bread. I had 1/2 a sandwich and soup. It is a nice change, but a little spendy. After I returned to the campus, I went to work in Enrollment Services. I finished all the paper applications and now I am helping with the online applications. There are so many of them it is going to take a while to get them all into the system.

Tonight was Bible Study. Can you believe it? I have only one week left in the Book of Esther. We started at the end of January. We will be having snacks and giving food to a men's shelter next week. It will be fun. I have certainly enjoyed learning from Beth Moore. I hope to learn more from other series she has done.

Got to get to bed now. It is almost the end of the week... it has gone fast. Night!
