Monday - A Simply Woman's Daybook

I am happy that some times when I haven't a clue what to write, I have the Simple Woman's Daybook to challenge me. I am writing this Sunday evening... to post for Monday.

A Simple Woman's Daybook
FOR TODAY - March 9, 2009

Outside my window... it has been light almost to 7 pm. Daylight savings came last night. I love seeing the light in the evening stay longer, but it will be hard to get up tomorrow morning.

I am thinking... I need to look at my calendar so that I know what I am suppose to be doing this week. At least I have the menu planned, and the food bought.

I am thankful for... Sunday. A day of rest. I don't look at the news and stay away from the anxious feelings it can create.

From the kitchen... I hear a dog howl. I wonder what it is since the squirrels in the neighborhood are all in their little beds.

I am wearing... a vest over my shirt because it has been cold. In fact, it snowed today.

I am creating... I am trying my hand at writing again. My mother, daughter, and my cousin, Melea, are my best cheerleaders in that department.

I am going... to become more involved in my church, Riverview Community Church.

I am reading... magazines that I have failed to read.

I am hearing... Dave watching TV in the other room. And although the clock says 8:35 pm, it feels later.

Around the house... I see the things that the boys played with this weekend. I should have had them pick them up.

One of my favorite things... is to finish a project. I am still working on one... but will finish soon.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing... I was looking for a daffodil picture since I saw my first one of the season today in my front yard. I was worried the snow would hurt them. But, I guess that the Lord knows that daffodils might run into a little snow sometimes. Anyway... here is some more pictures of the tulip fields up north. I can't wait to see them this year.

Hi Danna, snow! Did I read that right? is spring ever going to get here. :) I am so ready for spring. We had a lovely day today, nice temps and I even had the sliding doors open and the fresh air was great.
Hope you have a blessed week.
Hugs.

Hi Danna! I hate the 'spring forward' time change. It always seems to take me a week or more to adjust to it. Loved the pics of the tulips! So pretty. I am like you - watching the news is depressing & worrisome - I don't watch a lot of it. God is in control though - we must remember that. Hugs!
