The weather people have been getting very good at predicting what the weather will be like here in the NW. They can do this almost to the minute. It is amazing. The only time I really hope they are wrong is when they predict snow. We have had some spring like weather recently, so it was hard to believe that they were talking about one to two inches of snow falling in the Seattle area. After all, it is March (although I have seen snow fall in April before). March is usually safe from seeing the white stuff on the ground. But not this time... on Sunday we saw it on the ground. More fell on Sunday and on Monday.
On Sunday we couldn't venture too far from home, but we did go about 6 miles where we saw the biggest wet snowflakes fall. They were at least two inches in diameter. I could imagine that they were white feathers floating down to the ground.
Monday's snowfall was just amazing. Because it would just pour down white snow like it did at Christmas. It would "stick" in the trees, lawns, and bushes but it wouldn't stay on the roads (which are much warmer). That is when I get nervous; when it sticks on the roads. But we were fortunate, it didn't stay on the roads at all.
Tuesday morning there was snow on the ground still. It was still about two inches deep in some places. I took pictures of it at the college to show you. We were standing out in the cold waiting for a school bus to bring us a group of middle schoolers... it was cold. So I took this picture to occupy my thoughts on instead of the cold.
Have a great day!

Hi Danna! nice snow photo- what is that.. a big slice of a tree? Yes, the weather forecasting is so much better. They can get things coming days away. Years ago, they were just a big joke. Guess it's that doppler radar they're so proud of. :)
Glad your Easter Egg hunt is going well.. I just kind of stumbled onto how to do it. :)

What a beautiful entry you wrote yesterday, Danna! :) Lovely snow photo! Thanks for sharing! I love snow! What I don't like is the every-day rain we get here in Scotland. :(
