Birthday Week

We are back from our mini vacation to Seaport OR, and it was great! The sun shined, and we did lots of things just in the last 2-3 days which I will share over the next week.

Today I am writing on my new netbook. Yes, I am entering yet a new phase of learning technology. My birthday is next Saturday... and I have asked if everyone would pool their resources together to buy me just one item rather than many. And this is what I asked for. I saw one at Costco a few months ago and I thought it would be nice to have one rather than a laptop. This one is an ACER. I am, of course, learning how to use it and what it can do. I have few needs at this point, other than facebooking, word processing, and blogging so I thought it would be great to have something portable. My cellphone is one way I blog etc, but it can't do too much. More than when I began, but this will be great to travel with too.

Dave's birthday was last Saturday. We had a great day going to the city of Seaside and also to Cannon Beach on the Oregon. We stopped at a little place for dinner for a roast beef dip. We have stories to tell about our roast beef dips we have ordered. This one was memorable too. He also got a new BBQ from the kids... he likes charcoal BBQs still so they found him one that meets his needs. I also got him a cargo net for over his truck load. His aunt gave him some money so he plans to use that on his guitar music somehow. We have a family celebration next Sunday for all our birthdays... So it is a birthday week at our house. Riley turns 6 on Saturday too.
