Today I took half of the day off because Riley had a doctor's appointment for his five year old check up. That also included having 3 shots. Kari has to work to make rent especially these days. However, I ended up having the whole day off because I wasn't feel to great myself. How ironic. I was able to still get him to the doctor's for his appointment. So, I stayed still, sort of... and went through some old papers and organized some things. Actually, I spend about 2 hours doing that. Maybe more. I am already acting like it is the New Year or something with all this organizing that I am doing. Somebody stop me! No, that is probably isn't a good idea... there are a lot of things that I have to get done.
Riley's visit to the doctor went well. He had to have the shots, which wasn't a favorite idea to him. But I am surprised at how brave he is. I use to throw and FIT whenever I was to get a shot. It took a few people to hold me down. I am not joking. Finally they got the idea to hold my arms and lift me into the air. Let my feet go. The bottom part was moving but the top part where my arms where stayed still and they gave me the shot. They had to tell me when it was over since I was so busy avoiding the shot, I couldn't tell when I finally got the shot. Anyway, Riley took three shots in a row and finally a tear came out. But after 5 minutes, he was good as gold. Ready to go. Of course, after he got the lollypop and the stickers that was promised to him by the nurse.
I have to tell you this funny thing that happened. The nurse was checking Riley's hearing. So we had him put the ear piece to his ear, explained to him to only raise his hand when he heard a buzz. So we gave it to him and he put his hand in the air. He wouldn't put it down, so we explained the rules again. His hand went into the air and he wouldn't put it down. For the third time, we explained what we wanted him to do, and the same thing happened. His arm went high into the air and stayed there. The nurse and I looked at each other. She took the ear piece from him and checked to see if it was buzzing and it was... it was broken. Riley was doing just has he was told. :-) Oops
Why Annette? I had told Riley to think about Disneyland as he was getting his shots today. In other words... think good thoughts. I will leave you with that... Think good thoughts.

Hi Danna! Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog! :) You can get a gravatar here: http://en.gravatar.com/
You just need to upload a small photo- I think it's 80x80 pixels. It takes a few days for them to approve it but then you're good to go.
Riley was very brave and how funny about the buzzing. He knew what he was doing! :)
Ciao Danna, thank you for your visit. Well, if you have 20°F it's about -6°C, so we have more or less the same temps. Brrrr....
3 shots??? Oh boy! In one single doc's app.?? A bit too much!
Have a lovely day!!
Hi Danna! I remembered you asked about Sadie's mood girls. Here's a link to her graphics site:

I think she might be closed for the holidays but you can try sending an email- the link is there. Also, bookmark the page and you can always join in the new year- membership is free. I think the mood girls are a nominal fee for the collection- like $5.00.
