Today is Aaron's 19th birthday! Can you believe that? Well, you probably can, but I am having a tough time with it. I have known Aaron since he was three. His mom and dad (Dave) use to attend the church that I first attended when I moved to Washington. Off and on I would see Dave here and there after his divorce, and then one day we started hanging out. First as friends and then as a couple. We married six years after that. Aaron was about 9 when we began to hang out together. I remember his ninth birthday like it was yesterday because I was helping Dave give him a birthday party with his friends. Now, it is like fast forward and he is 19 years old. All I can saw is that life can pass by quickly so enjoy is while it is here.
We will be celebrating Aaron's birthday as a family on Monday night. He is planning to spend Saturday with his girlfriend... that is a friend. It is complicated. Anyway, he has big plans.
