Christmas Eve our family gathering was cancelled, at first, because of the snow. However, as the day wore on, we thought that we might be able to get together, so we went over to Steve and Ruth's (only about 3-4 miles away) to have dinner. Todd (Steve and Ruth's oldest son) was here from California, so we decided to made "it" happen. However, Riley had a reaction to Todd's two dogs, and I had to take Riley home. Above is Riley giving me his "smile". He is so funny.
Kari met us at my house and later they boys were able to open their presents. That kept Riley's mind off his problems. He was doing alright after I took him home. I gave him a bath and put his new pajamas on him. Soon after doing all of that, he was feeling better.
There is less snow on the ground now. It is easier to get around. When the rain comes, the snow begins to disappear. They are calling for more rain tonight, so that will be good for making it to church tomorrow.
