Friday - A Day Off

Dave and I have the day off today. We started our day by going out to breakfast at "Mom's". You have heard of that restaurant many times in the past.

Afterwards we decided to head to the South Center mall area and went to Barnes and Nobles. I was given a gift certificate to spend there and so we looked over everything. While Dave went his way in the store, I looked at a variety of books on various subjects. Then I decided not to buy a book at all. I have so many books at home to still read and organize, that I decided that I would read them first before buying another. So the search went on...

I thought about buying a globe of the earth so that I could learn more about the world. But, I could do that on the Internet, so I decided against that idea. Games? No, I bought one last year that we still need to open. Workout tapes? How about a workbook on having more "Simplicity" in life. Finally, I decided on a book on CD. It was between a Joyce Meyer CD (which I have many) or a CD on a book from a man that is on Joyce Meyer from time to time; John C. Maxwell. I decided that not only could I listen to it but that Dave could listen to it too. Dave has a book or two written by him, so I knew he would like it.

We woke up to a dusting of snow on the ground this morning. We don't really want to go through all of what we went through in December called the Winter Blast 08. We would like to go now into Spring, but we just started Winter. So, keep your fingers crossed. The dusting is gone now and hopefully it will not return again.
