These days are rough and they seem to be getting more rough. Each day when I wake up, I turn on the news to hear the weather report. They talk about more lay offs etc. So, the question then is "How do we get through this and survive?"
The first thing I know is that God knows what we are dealing with. We must start with trusting all will be "OK"... that is faith. I don't know that that "OK" looks like as we go... but in the end, everything will be OK.
The next thing, I believe is to keep moving forward. And that can be tricky because more than ever we have to dodge many things to keep positive. We have to not be around people that are complaining, we must get sleep and eat correctly, and do whatever positive thing we can do to keep from becoming "down". I have to take time off from watching to listening to the news or media.
Here is a bible verse to think about... Finally, brethren (everyone), whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything is worthy of praise, dwell on these things. Philipians 4:8 If you are not a Christian, the message is still a good one to help us all cope in times that are trying. Everyone enjoys laughter, music, and good things... and that is the reason I put up this Beattle song. :-) I hope you will just sit for a moment and enjoy the fun in the song.
One good thing for me to think about is; it is my mom's birthday! I won't telecast here how old she is today. I hope she is going to have a wonderful day and year ahead. She has had a rough one with being in the hospital quite a few times this past year. I find her being positive besides all of that... and taking things in stride. She keeps going... she works in a flower shop and she goes out on the weekends... driving to their favorite places and seeing friends and family. I was happy to see both her and Ron last year three different times. In May when Riley and I visited California, when we went to Sacramento and then they drove to WA in June, and then again in October when they returned to vacation at Lake Chelan. There has been years where I haven't seen them at all. Happy Birthday Mom!

Hi Danna, I love that Bible verse you typed out. I was blessed to get to meet you. Happy Birthday to your mom. Hugs
Hi Danna,
That is my favourite verse, I've always loved it, encouraging us to dwell on good things and I'm sure that is what the Lord would have us do regardless of what's happening around us. Great reminder - thank you.
Have a wonderful weekend and keep warm. God bless.((hugs)))
